American Ironhorse Rhc Replacement Or Substitute?
Can the rhc on an 06 ironhorse be replaced with another electronic module from another make? i figure all custom made bikes need one. big dog for example. if i find one that all i have to do is rewire the bike with a new male plug, that might give me a more reliable module. i am just seeing if it is possible. Help 06 American Ironhorse Slammer Electrical Problem?
I have an 06 american ironhorse slammer.the problem i have is troubling me because it is not consistant in anyway i can pinpoint. i was hoping it is a problem that has been seen before and can easily be fixed or a defective part can be replaced. the blinkers and brake lights work when the bike is first started, works fine. they will stay working as long as i sit in one place. as soon as i take off and get down the street, the blinkers and brake lights stop working. i can rev up the engine to get them working then they will go out as i idle back down. the running lights work fine the entire time without fail. sometime the blinkers and brake lights will work as i go down the street on and off. it is really random and i can 't diagnose the problem easily because when the bike is still, it all works. i checked the grounds and cleaned the contacts and bought a new battery. same issue. is there a bad relay or load leveler or module that is causing me the problem that i can just replace? i just has 900 miles on it.please help. i can 't drive it on the street without any blinkers or brake lights. I Have An American Ironhorse Motorcycle With A Digital Speedometer. It Only Works In The Dark. Any Suggestions?
My digital speedo has a day/ night sensor that changes the brightness depending on surrounding light. unfortunately when the surrounding environment is light (daytime) the speedo doesn 't work at all. if i leave my garage at 15mph and enter sunlight, the speedo sticks at 15mph until i shut down the bike. the tachometer also freezes. the speedo works perfectly in low light. how can i address this or is it possible to cover the light sensor? if so, where is the light sensor on the unit? (i have the crescent shaped stainless speedo. (Read answers)
